WD Borrie Prize to ADSRI PhD student
Monday 19 April 2010

Kim Johnstone, a PhD student in ADSRI, has won the nationally competitive 2009 Postgraduate Borrie Prize for her paper 'Indigenous fertility in the Northern Territory -What do we know? (and what can we know?)'. The entries of Jiaying Zhao and Kirsten Trunk - also ADSRI students - were highly commended.

The Prize is awarded each year by the Australian Population Association for the best postgraduate student paper on a population-related topic, and is named for Professor W.D. Borrie (1913-2000), Australia's first full-time academic researcher in demography.
